  2. Each resident stay at Mesa Verde is dependent upon many factors most of which revolve around the need for a skilled level of care. Our case managers follow the guidelines set forth by Medicare or insurance companies and will be happy to discuss these with you. Even if coverage is ended by Medicare or insurance companies, residents are welcome to stay on under private pay status either at our Skilled Nursing Facility or the Residential Care Unit.

  3. Will Mesa Verde bill my supplemental insurance for what Medicare does not cover?
  4. Mesa Verde works with you and your insurance carriers to simplify any payment concerns. To determine whether your insurance program(s) have any associated out-of-pocket expenses, please contact our billing office staff.

  5. What were the results of Mesa Verde's state inspection?
  6. Mesa Verde Convalescent Hospital and the health care campus has provided care to our community for over 32 years. During this period, Mesa Verde has continually scored an excellent rating from state health inspectors. In the past 5years, Mesa Verde has averaged a deficiency rating of 1.0.   8. Mesa Verde provides every 6-8 residents with a dedicated staff member with additional "floaters" who are not assigned specific residents, but help assist wherever there is a need. Other facilities often average 11-12 residents in the care of each nursing aide.

  9. When are Mesa Verde's visiting hours?
  10. Mesa Verde is generally flexible with visiting hours, allowing friends and family to visit anytime between 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM.

  11. What type of phone services are offered at Mesa Verde?
  12. Mesa Verde wants your stay to be as pleasant as possible, and this includes your ability to be in contact with your friends and family. We are unique in that Mesa Verde offers residents courtesy phones. The courtesy line dials area codes 949 and 714.

    While at Mesa Verde, residents may contact AT&T at any time to set up their own personal phone line in their room. Due to privacy issues, AT&T requires the resident or family member to contact them directly. You can call 1-800-288-2020 and a AT&T representative will walk through the necessary steps. This service is very comparable to setting up phone service in your home. As such, when you leave Mesa Verde we remind you to call AT&T to disconnect your service.
